Are they necessary?

Wild rabbits forage for food the whole day making them stimulate their brain besides providing the right nutrition. On the other hand, those living in captivity are supplied with food daily in their food bowls, feeders or hay racks.

The good thing is bunnies are intelligent and very smart and giving logic toys as they will help sharpen their mind and provide them with a challenge that will keep them busy. Also, they will help them interact with their environment, learn and grow.

To prove these furry critters are intelligent, they can be trained to use litter boxes, and a few new skills if encouraged by humans.

In not kept busy and entertained, they will be bored, suffer from depression and become more destructive. Do not forget that mental stimulation is essential to their overall happiness and health.

What are logic or puzzle toys

These are interactive rabbit toys designed to make your pet solve a mystery or problem to be rewarded mainly by their favorite edible treats. Solving the puzzles will involve things such as opening lids, sliders, pulling or pushing or removing barriers to be able to access the treat.

See the video below to see how a bunny is trying to solve a brain train cube toy.

Training your rabbits to use them

The best training time is when your rabbit is hungry such as before feeding it or giving it a snack using its favorite treat.

Find a place without distractions, let it sniff the treat, them place it in the logic toy while it is watching and show it how to access it severally. You can allow it to munch the treat once or twice before letting it try to access it.

Be patient and praise it if it succeeds or not. Some bunnies will understand the logic game quickly while others will take time. If they get bored, leave them alone and try another time.
