Serendipity: "When Love is Magic"

On december 2009 at 5:00 a.m. a phone call saying: Mari come over, dad doesn't breath well. At 5:10 I was there but he didn't make to wait for me.

My father, my first love, my heroe, my teacher , my best friend, the one I cried with when I was told that I couldn't have children. Too much sorrow at once.

I couldn't make it, I didn't like this life anymore.

I took  his pillow home with me and layed down, day after day, month after month. Closed in my bedroom, just breathing in and out.

Somewherelse, exactly a month later, on january 10, someone was born in a golden world. I always asked myself what time she was born, maybe at 5 a.m.?

She knew nothing about me, I knew nothing about her. However one day she arrived home. I just took a look at her, I grew up with dogs but I had no feelings for this little puppy. I decided to call her Baby like that baby I could never deliver. Day after day I was still laying on that bed but somebody was coming each morning bringing toys, together with the smell of her poe and pee that I was obliged to clean.

So when I was standing up she was following all my steps and I started spending 5 minutes with her before going back to bed, then the minutes became 10 and more. A step and a paw, together day and night. Till when we went out for short walks. I was finally slowly going out from that room but also from hell!

Now I could really breath, smile and play. I was taking care of my look and going back to live again. Because a puppy fills in your life, because a dog accepts you the way you are, looks at you and waits for you. Minutes, hours, days, months, simply waits.

We are Maria Carmela&Baby. She is my daughter, she was meant to be with me. The day she arrived home it was the 26th of march, birthday of my dad...

That day I was reborn, she rescued me. And today I decided to tell our big love story, it is september 10, 2017.

The word serendipity means the luckyness of finding something unexpected while looking for something else. Sometimes the best in life happens when you think it will never come.
